Togiak Police Department understands
many of the challenges that Parents face in our
community and in our country today. Many of the issues
that we faced when we grew up were far different that
the challenges that our children face in the 21's
century. The rate of drug and alcohol abuse in children
and you is staggering, suicide among youth age children
is a real concern in our community, rates of sexual
assault and abuse top the nation here in rural Alaska,
and the incidence of teen pregnancy is exceedingly high.
Often parents don't know where to turn for help.
This web resource for parents is a
developing project that will provide information for
parents and others, and act as a resource to guide
parents the right direction in getting any necessary
help for the challenges that parents and kids face
today. Should you have any suggestions, comments, ideas
or need specific help, feel free to email us at
parents@togiakpolice.org.
